Install instructions for V4, V6 and V8 engines
Complete water pump install
- Slide water tube grommet into water pump housing
- Install guide tube with grommet on water pump housing.
- Install gasket compound on small 0-ring into water pump housing and install impeller cup.
- Glue seal into groove on water pump housing, set aside.
- Clean gasket surface on gearcase. Install gasket and impeller plate onto gearcase.
- Install key and 0-ring onto driveshaft.
- Slide impeller down drive shaft with 0 ring groove facing down.
- Lightly lubricate impeller housing with soapy water. Do not install impeller dry use a wheel bearing grease.
- Slide impeller housing over impeller.
- Turn drive shaft in a clock wise direction push down on housing.
- Tighten bolts, grease drive shaft splines.
