Install instructions for V4, V6 and V8 engines
Complete water pump kit
- Slide water tube grommet into water pump housing, then install guide tube with grommet onto water pump housing.
- Install gasket compound on small 0-ring into water pump housing and install impeller cup.
- Glue seal into groove on water pump housing, set aside.
- Clean gasket surface on gearcase. Install gasket and impeller plate onto gearcase.
- Install key and 0-ring onto driveshaft. Slide impeller down driveshaft with 0-ring groove facing down, until it seats.
- Lightly lubricate impeller housing with soapy water. Do not install impeller dry use a wheel bearing grease.
- Slide impeller housing over impeller.
- While turning driveshaft in a clockwise direction push down on impeller housing.
- Tighten bolts, grease driveshaft splines.
